Fixing Up an Old Dresser October 08, 2012 | Chicago, IL

I decided to buy an old dresser for Brit's birthday and fix it up. While I am by no means a handyman, we had fun on this project and I thought I would share some of the results.

It took a while but the dresser was finally all sanded.

Added some scrapes to the wood to give it an old look

Painted the wood a yellowish-white.

After a few coats of paint, we sanded the dresser especially the edges to give it an antique look. Then added some more scrapes for character.
